# What other tools map, and who decides what goes in

We read 26 products and research prototypes in five groups: what each maps, whether a person approves the map, what it outputs and what it costs. Each cell quotes the vendor's own page. Where a vendor doesn't say, the cell says "not stated".

featkpr holds it waiting on a person, or being built not built yet

## The short answer

Most tools keep tests, sessions or code as their record, and the tool decides what goes in. A few now draw a map before they write tests: QA Wolf, Autonoma, Checksum and Momentic. Momentic's app graph comes nearest to featkpr: product areas, features and journeys, with a queue where you approve or reject each addition. Its own docs say it is in alpha, behind a waitlist, and built from test runs, so a feature no test has walked isn't in it. The columns are what featkpr does, so the table measures others against our frame. The last three sections say where they are ahead of us.

the vendor says it does this narrower, or only in alpha not stated featkpr's own state

**Features**

a map of what the app can do, feature by feature

**Flows, links**

the flows people take, or which feature leads to which

**Goals**

the outcomes people reach at the end of a flow

**A person decides**

a person approves or rejects each piece of the map

**Tests**

tests built on top, and in what

**Permissions**

checks of who may reach what

**Change impact**

what a change reaches, before it merges

**Telemetry**

what the app does as it runs, recorded or traced

## AI end-to-end test tools

11 read on 28 Sep 2026 · QA Wolf, Momentic, Octomind, Meticulous, Checksum, Autonoma, mabl, Testim, Reflect, Qodo, Playwright

### Where featkpr overlaps, and where it doesn't

This is where featkpr overlaps most. QA Wolf, Autonoma, Checksum and Momentic each map an app before they write tests, and Octomind's agents look for its user flows. They map in order to test: the tests are the product, and the map serves them. featkpr keeps the map as the product and puts each piece to a person; tests are one layer on it. Momentic's app graph is the one design with a person approving each addition, and it is in alpha. None of these pages mentions goals, or checking each test as the wrong user. ### Where they are ahead

They are ahead on nearly everything that runs: tests in real browsers and on phones, parallel runs at scale, healing broken tests, CI integrations, public prices and named customers. featkpr's tests call the app directly; browser tests are on the plan, not built.

## Code understanding and code maps

### Where featkpr overlaps, and where it doesn't

These read the code, as featkpr does. What they map is the code: repositories, symbols, dependencies and data flows (Swimm), or a graph of functions to review a change (Greptile). None of the pages read speaks of features a user sees, flows or goals, or of a person approving the map; Swimm's own experts validate its output. [35](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-35) [38](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-38) [39](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-39)

### Where they are ahead

They handle far larger codebases, answer questions about any line, review pull requests, and several run inside your own network. DeepWiki covers public repositories for free.

## Product analytics and journeys from real traffic

3 read on 28 Sep 2026 · PostHog, Heap, Fullstory

### Where featkpr overlaps, and where it doesn't

PostHog, Heap and Fullstory draw journeys from what real users did: paths, drop-offs, page-to-page navigation. featkpr drafts flows from the code and a crawl before anyone has used them, so it can show a path nobody took. The two answer different questions, and a path from traffic says how often; featkpr's cannot. Fullstory suggests page groupings for you to review, the one review step in this group. [44](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-44) [47](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-47) [50](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-50)

### Where they are ahead

They see real usage at scale: funnels, conversion, replays and drop-offs. featkpr sees only a test copy; mining real traces is an idea, not on the plan's weeks.

## Permission and API security testing

5 read on 28 Sep 2026 · Escape, StackHawk, Pynt, Akto, Bright

### Where featkpr overlaps, and where it doesn't

These test access control, the same thing featkpr's wrong-user check does, and more: StackHawk sends requests as two users to find BOLA and BFLA, and Escape, Pynt and Akto name BOLA and IDOR among their checks. They build an inventory of APIs from traffic or a crawl, not a map of features and journeys. In featkpr the check is one layer on the map, per route and role; it is the access-control part of a penetration test, not a full one. [56](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-56) [53](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-53) [58](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-58) [59](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-59)

### Where they are ahead

They cover many kinds of vulnerability featkpr does not look for at all (injection, SSRF, misconfiguration), prove exploits, write reports for auditors, and read live traffic.

## Research prototypes

2 read on 28 Sep 2026 · AutoE2E and E2EBench, ScenGen

### Where featkpr overlaps, and where it doesn't

AutoE2E (UBC, 2024, a preprint) is the closest prior art: it infers a web app's features from its running screens and writes end-to-end tests from them, and its benchmark, E2EBench, scores how many features a test suite covers. ScenGen drives mobile tests from testing scenarios a person gives it, and LLMVue builds a page-transition graph from Vue.js source. None keeps the map for a person to decide. [63](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-63) [66](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-66) [67](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-67)

### Where they are ahead

AutoE2E publishes a measured feature coverage on eight apps. featkpr has not measured how much it misses against a benchmark yet; that is on the plan.

Research prototypes: each product in its own words, what it outputs, whether it is open source or runs on your machines, and its price

## Where they are ahead

Plainly, and each with its source. featkpr is a month old and runs on one app.

### Tests that run at scale

Momentic's home page counts 70,607,819 test runs; QA Wolf runs tests in parallel on every deploy. featkpr has run 311 tests on one app. [8](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-8) [5](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-5) [1](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-1)

### Browsers and phones

QA Wolf and Momentic test web apps, iOS and Android; Meticulous replays tests in its own browser engine. featkpr's tests call the app directly; browser tests are planned. [5](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-5) [8](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-8) [14](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-14)

On featkpr's plan: [Tests through a browser](https://featkpr.com/roadmap#browser-tests) , planned, not dated

### Where your team already works

Momentic runs in GitHub Actions, GitLab or any CI; Autonoma works with Vercel, GitHub and Linear; Checksum delivers tests as pull requests. featkpr runs in our own cluster for now. [8](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-8) [19](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-19) [17](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-17)

On featkpr's plan: [The reader in your own CI](https://featkpr.com/roadmap#reader-in-your-ci) , planned, not dated

### Prices you can read, and a way to start alone

Momentic has a free tier, Autonoma's self-hosted version is free, StackHawk costs $10 a user a month and PostHog is free up to its monthly allowance. featkpr has no public price; the way in is a call. [11](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-11) [19](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-19) [57](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-57) [45](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-45)

On featkpr's plan: [Pricing per seat, with a credit limit and top-ups](https://featkpr.com/roadmap#pricing) , an idea, not decided

### Named customers

Momentic and Meticulous quote engineers at named companies on their home pages. featkpr has no customer yet. [8](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-8) [14](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-14)

### Security depth

Escape and Bright hunt many kinds of vulnerability and prove exploits; StackHawk tests with two users at once. featkpr checks one thing: whether a route refuses the wrong user. [53](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-53) [62](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-62) [56](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-56)

### Real traffic

PostHog, Heap and Fullstory see what real users do. featkpr sees a test copy of the app. [44](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-44) [47](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-47) [50](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-50)

### Open source

Playwright is Apache-2.0, PostHog and Akto are MIT, and Autonoma's source is published under the BSL. featkpr's is not public. [34](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-34) [46](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-46) [59](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-59) [21](https://featkpr.com/compare#s-21)

## What featkpr doesn't have yet

Straight from the plan, with its state and week. Weeks ahead are estimates.

- **Add an app: paste its address, give one token, follow the setup list** this week decided 28 Sep; apps and their settings become stored records (built, in review); the setup list beside the map is designed (approved 28 Sep) and being built; until it ships we set up each app ourselves
- **The merge-request verdict, posted with the change's own code run** this week the pull request's own code ran on BookStack #6213 on 28 Sep (0 broke, 19 held, 5 not proven); next, it posts on every push and fills the Goal sheets page
- **Effects and OpenTelemetry on BookStack's runs** this week effects recorded on BookStack's run of 28 Sep at its development tip, not shown here yet; OpenTelemetry measured on one capture run, not on every run yet
- **Viewer and guest flows** from 19 Oct the crawl signs in as the admin today; other roles once Flows filters by role
- **Every state change traced during a run** from 19 Oct and your product's own telemetry, any stack
- **Tests through a browser** planned, not dated the flows a person keeps, run as Playwright browser tests
- **Tests written in TypeScript too** planned, not dated beside pytest
- **Selenium and Cucumber outputs** planned, not dated
- **The reader in your own CI** planned, not dated your code stays with you
- **Teams and tenancy** planned, not dated
- **How much featkpr misses, measured** planned, not dated aiming to find at least 9 in 10
- **Pricing per seat, with a credit limit and top-ups** an idea, not decided Tim's instinct of 22 Sep; the price needs its own research, and no number is set
- **A public demo** an idea, not decided open question: whether a public demo comes before or after the private read-only one

## How we read them

- Each page was fetched on 28 Sep 2026 and saved as it came, so every quote can be checked again. Quotes are verbatim, typos included.
- Where a vendor doesn't say something, the cell says "not stated". We never mark a tool as lacking a thing from silence.
- Three cells come from our own research of 17 Sep 2026, because the page refused us on 28 Sep or wasn't opened again; their sources carry that date.
- Two could not be read: octomind.dev did not resolve, and codesee.io answered 404. Octomind's cells come from its public docs on GitHub.
- featkpr's row comes from its own records, dated, and from the plan. The columns are featkpr's frame, so the table favours what featkpr does; the section above says what that leaves out.
- Vendors change their pages. If a cell is wrong or out of date, tell us and we fix it.
